In tracking the success of higher education, the quest may have been marked by several challenges, personal development and different opportunities. The change in the higher education system not only required achievement in the academic part but also developing the professional and personal part. Various challenges can be faced from management of time to discovery of oneself. Summarizing the role of orientation is also required. The 'Gibbs reflective cycle' is also an important tool for the reflection of self in the success of higher education. There are two strengths which I have developed during the time of orientation of success in higher education; those are note taking skills and teamwork skills.

I have attended an orientation program at my university which was well organized. It was a very knowledge-gathering session for me. I have realized that note-taking and teamwork skills are important to achieve the aim and to balance the academic session.
I was feeling excited with mixed emotions, sometimes it was nervous and sometimes it was enjoyable. I was also feeling nervous to hear about the challenges but I was relieved to hear about many opportunities that would help me to succeed in the academic session (Covin et al. 2020). It was a mixed feeling for me and I was feeling nervous and excited both at the time of orientation. I was nervous to hear the challenges which in higher education, where have to face during the session but I was also glad to hear about the opportunities which would assist me in higher education (Planas-Lladó etal. 2021). This note-taking skill activity and the teamwork skills help which i have learned through the orientation that helped me throughout the session in higher education.
I have learned many valuable things in the orientation program that helped me to proceed my journey throughout the session of higher education. I have got confidence to see that I have started to take running notes from the lecturer. It helped me to write as fast as possible and helped me to write in examinations and cover the peppers completely (Bravo et al. 2019). I have got confidence from the orientation session and I have also decided to maintain a strategy like I have decided to keep a diary for my study and curricular activities through the week and month (Boldureanu et al. 2020). Team -work was another skills for me which i haven learned during the orientation that helped me to communicate and manage any project as a team and enhanced my responsibility taking power and also enhance my management skills.
The entire session was based on the orientation programme because I have learned many things from it that helped me to cover the whole syllabus and projects in the session of the academic year. Teamwork would help me for my future in the professional field and also in my job to fulfill the target as a team and note taking would help me to faster brain function that is important for any type of job in my life. Practising group discussion is also important for improving my skill on identifying and analyzing the problem and the root cause behind it and also managing the problems (Alhadabi and Karpinski, 2020). It helped me to improve the ability to develop unique solutions and ability to communicate with others by sharing my ideas.
The critical thinking skill is very essential for me to get success in my higher education. It includes facing challenges during the academic session (Brundiers et al. 2021). Both the strengths helped me to achieve success in higher education. I am very glad and grateful to this orientation program that gave me the realization and helped me to understand the responsibilities with team work and procedure of compilation of any work (Moriña, 2019). As a team and note taking is another strength that helped me to reach my goals not only in higher education but also further any position of my life.
I have planned to proceed with developing critical thinking skills by actively questioning the information. It made me understand to seek different perspectives and evaluate different arguments with care (Ciampi et al. 2021). I have planned this total educational session by using both the skills note taking and teamwork skill. This 'Gibb's reflective model' help me to write this project and confine my journey of higher education and help me to illustrate the about the strengths I have learned through the orientation program.

Delivering a presentation perfectly is very much important to get success in higher education (Williamson, 2021). Also referencing plays a critical role in making projects and it can help to score more.
Designing and delivering a presentation has always been a great challenge for me. For example, the last presentation that I gave also didn't go well. I was not only nervous but my body language was not perfect. My slides lacked proper structure, coherence and clarity. This also makes it difficult for my audiences to follow the provided content by me correctly (Salem, 2019). I do lack of major confidence in the time of presenting which mainly effect my delivery. I also had difficulty while doing proper referencing. It effect my academic score. I mainly mixed up the styles of the citation. Because of this I make errors. It's hard for me to get proper quotes and citations (De Wit, 2019). I often face problem in doing Harvard referencing style.
A wide range of deep emotions I have experienced related to the weaknesses. At the time of designing and delivering the presentations I most of the time felt anxious and also self-conscious. The fear of creating mistakes in front of my teachers and other classmates makes me felt less self-assured. In the time of referencing I not only felt frustrated but also very much overwhelmed. The different type of referencing style mainly Harvard left me so unsure about how to do the formatting correctly.
Through the evaluation of both the challenges I realized it has both positive and negative aspects. Because in one way it helps the higher education to achieve their planned target or goal in the academic area (Sony and Naik, 2020). The feedback that I have received from both the higher education and teachers from that I clearly understood my weakness regarding designing and delivering a presentation. I also received comments about the structure where I lack the most. In the area of referencing I often loose marks because of the mistakes in the part of citations (Zhang and Hu, 2020). It often happens by me while writing any assignment and it effect my work quality.
The main causes of these challenges often include shifting from an academic environment which is less demanding, less preparation for higher education and excess work pressure. Problems like anxiety and stress involving severe academic pressure can decrease the ability to learn with more effectiveness (Chung et al. 2020). To identify my weaknesses in the area of presentation I realized that seeking feedback and also doing practice is very much important. Visual aids often help to structure the presentation skills if used properly. It also helps in managing the anxiety level and the fear of speaking in public. In the area of referencing there is requirement to understand the styles of citation mainly used in higher education (Van Ginkel et al. 2019). This required a proper systematic approach which includes different style guides, consultation of academic resources etc.
In conclusion, using the 'Gibbs' reflective model' it has been identified that the challenges help in the growth of personal development. It also helped to identify that the challenge of social adjustment refers to the development of different emotions. The 'Gibbs' reflective model' has been identified that the challenge including designing and delivering a presentation and referencing are very much effective in improving my higher education. For conveying information correctly it is required to get effective presentation skills and referencing often helps in maintaining a good academic integrity.
I plan to create an action plan to help in developing personal growth. Reflecting on these challenges also may help to lead a successful path towards success in higher education. For designing and delivering presentations seeking guidance from the professors is required. Attending workshops, other sessions including proper training helps to overcome weaknesses. Practicing the presentations regularly increases confidence level and also enhances the skills like public speaking (Castro et al. 2021). Referencing can be improved by doing reviewing past work and revising the already done assignments. Seeking required feedback from seniors may also help.
It is hereby concluded that the orientation for success in higher education do have some positive and negative aspects in a higher education life. I do believe that 'Gibbs' reflective model' is a significant tool for understanding and developing the skills and identifying the challenges to manage the higher education of a higher education. This project has given me the opportunity to provide my ideas and knowledge and also the experiences of higher education. 'Gibbs' reflective model' is one of the best models that allows a person to develop and identify the skills as well as help to face the challenges and manage the situation. Describing my experiences, I have been aware of my strengths and weaknesses and developed an action plan on the basis of the skills and challenges I have faced during my academic session. I am confident about my skills to develop myself for the future.
